BMW India has introduced the latest generation of its popular luxury SUV, the X3, at the Auto Expo 2025. The all-new fourth-generation model comes with an introductory price of ₹75.80 lakh for the xDrive20 petrol variant and ₹77.80 lakh for the xDrive20d diesel version. Bookings have officially begun, with deliveries expected to start in April.
Powertrain & Performance
The new BMW X3 is equipped with mild-hybrid technology in both petrol and diesel options. Under the hood, it features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. BMW’s signature xDrive all-wheel-drive system ensures optimal power distribution. The petrol variant delivers 190hp and 310Nm of torque, while the diesel version generates 197hp and 400Nm.
Bigger Yet Sleeker

The fourth-generation X3 has grown in size, now measuring 4,755mm in length (+34mm) and 1,920mm in width (+29mm). However, it stands slightly lower at 1,660mm (-25mm), while retaining its 2,865mm wheelbase.
The SUV adopts BMW’s latest design philosophy, influenced by the Vision Neue Klasse X concept. It sports an illuminated kidney grille with a fresh diagonal and horizontal slat arrangement, accompanied by sleek, redesigned LED headlights. Unlike its predecessor, the new X3 ditches plastic cladding for a cleaner, more sculpted appearance, while muscular wheel arches and newly designed alloy wheels add to its road presence.
Tech-Loaded Cabin & Features
Inside, the new X3 is packed with cutting-edge technology and premium materials. The dashboard features BMW’s signature curved display, comprising a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 14.9-inch digital instrument cluster, both running the latest iDrive 9 interface. The cabin is further enhanced with a new meshed fabric trim, redesigned heated Sports Seats, and a flat-bottom steering wheel for a sportier feel.
Among its many high-end features, the SUV includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated power-adjustable front seats, four-zone climate control, and a reclining rear bench. Additionally, parking assist and an array of driver-assistance features provide added convenience and safety.
With its refined styling, upgraded technology, and powerful drivetrain options, the fourth-generation BMW X3 continues to raise the bar in the luxury SUV market.
